Make 'n Take
Weave a Rug or a Scarf in about 3 hours!
-- For Adults and teens
Under the guidance of a friendly volunteer, you will weave a throw rug or scarf. Our looms are warped and ready for you to learn to weave. No experience needed.

Great opportunity to have fun with family or friends. Up to 5 people can be accommodated.
$40 per person includes all materials

We have classes for both new weavers and advanced weavers!
Classes scheduled by request, geared to adults and teens.
Drop Spindle Spinning
-- for adults and teens
( See Children's Programs for younger youth )
Using a simple spindle - a whorl on a stick - you will learn to spin as it has been done for thousands of years. Drop Spindles can be used to spin all kinds of yarn. They are small and easily carried with you.
You will learn to prepare wool for spinning and then spin your yarn. All materials and tools will be provided.
If desired, you may purchase your own Drop Spindle at the Cabin.
$15 per person, 90 min class, up to 6 persons per group. Contact the Cabin to schedule your class
Childrens' Programs
-- For school age children
This 2 hour program is perfect for Home schoolers, small classes or groups of friends.
Up to 6 children can be accommodated
Children get to experience the process required to produce clothing in a pre-industrial age. They will learn to card wool, spin yarn with a drop spindle and then use their yarn to weave a small mat which is theirs to keep.
$20 per child. At least one adult must stay for the program (at no charge)
